Search Engine Spiders do the real work

October 24, 2005 · Filed Under Search Engine Optimization

Once site is submitted to search engines, its spiders (also known as crawlers) visit your site and crawls it. Crawling involves looking at the tags, text and following all the links it can find.

Be friendly to these crawlers, because if they can’t read your site pages, they can’t include them in index and so search results.

All pages should be linked to more than one page on your site. Try and make all pages within two levels of the root (home page). If they are buried, try and add more specific sections to hold that content.
